Our next event is an afternoon of playing directed by Richard Ingham and John MacKenzie at the Ashwell Village Hall, Ashwell Road, Oakham LE15 7LW from 11.00 to 4.30pm on Sunday 26th February 2023
The session is an opportunity for clarinettists and saxophonists to play in an ensemble and the music will be arrangements and transcriptions for the single reed ensemble including not only some new pieces for the ensemble composed by Richard Ingham but also a transcription by Mike Frankton of Mussorgsky’s “Night on a Bald Mountain”
All the instruments of both the clarinet and saxophone family will be welcome and to get the most out of the sessions a playing standard of Grade 5 and above is expected. We will not be sending out parts in advance, so you need to be prepared to sightread the music on the day.
The fee for the session is £15 per person (£5 students)
